1960’s Scotland
Throughout the 1960’s Norman spent his summers travelling and camping in Scotland. He had a need to get close to nature, and got much of his inspiration from being as far from the city as he could. He would walk into the hills find a nice spot and sit and paint. Many of his watercolours from this time have marks made by rain and some have stuck midges.
